SHORT FILM

  • 1. The short film should not contain any adult content/extreme violence/caste or religious jealousy
  • 2. Already released short films from 2022 January 1 to 2024 June 20 are eligible for registration.
  • 3. Entrance fee is Rs.1000 (One thousand rupees only) by cash or UPI or DD (Pls send DD in favour of Idukki Pressclub )
  • 4. The entry form/Application will not be considered without receipt of the entry fee
  • 5. The film must be provided to the organizer in the email address idukkifilmfestival@gmail.com via Wetransfer, SendGB, Google drive or Post/Courier in MOV or MP4 format only.
  • 6. The short film should be only in Malayalam language.
  • 7. Subtitles is also welcome but only in English and it is not compulsory.
  • 8. Last date for film submission is 2024 June 20.
  • 9. Festival participants fill up the Google Form and send the posters of the film.
  • 10. If any misbehave activities done by the participant or their team, they will be disqualified from the fest and the registration fee is also not refundable.
  • 11. The festival management will not be responsible if film is not screened due to the problem of transferred file. So participant should be ensured that the file is received by the Screening Committee in Playable condition. Entry fee will not be refunded if such problem persists for any reason
  • 12. Total running time must be less than 30 minutes in length, including credits/graphics.
  • 13. Films once selected and submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until the festival is over.
  • 14. The film should be submit before deadline. Idukki film festival committee is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen or misappropriated entries.
  • 15. The festival committee reserves the right to accept or refuse any film without assigning any reason whatsoever.
  • 16.Content submitted for selection will be considered as final and no changes will be entertained after submission. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to submit files without any physical/quality defects
  • 17. The competition is open for professionals as well as students. No separate section for student film makers.
  • 18. Winners are selected by a judging panel, consisting of independent producers, script writers, directors, cameramen, sound engineers, visual editors and other film and television industry professionals.

REELS

  • 1. Any socially responsible topic can be chosen for reels
  • 2. The reel must be individual and original work. Plagiarized content leads to disqualification.
  • 3. No derogatory remarks against any person, community, religion or political parties
  • 4. Do not use copyrighted audio
  • 5. Video length should not exceed 90 seconds.
  • 6. Please use only Malayalam language for reels.
  • 7. Only one entry may be submitted per person.
  • 8. According to the reel format, the video should be shot vertically
  • 9. Participants have to fill the google form
  • 10. The entry fee is Rs.500
  • 11. The decision of the judging panel will be final.

LEGAL IMPLICATIONS

  • Shot films that are submitted must be the entrant’s original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
  • Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding music, sounds or images presented in your short film.
  • Entrants will retain all ownership rights to their films submitted.
  • All the legal issues shall be under the jurisdiction of Thodupuzha only
